Overview
The Integrative Health Centre is equipped with an in house laboratory as well as an extensive and highly specialized medicinary. This provides a unique experience for most individuals who have become accustomed to having to make multiple visits to various labs and pharmacies. Our medicinary carries a wide variety of professional vitamins, minerals, herbals, homeopathic, and glandular medications. The Integrative Health Centre has made a commitment to their patients to provide only the highest quality, and most effective, products. Therefore, the majority of the medications are not available in local health stores and many are imported from Europe and around the world.

Testing Procedures
The Integrative Health Centre provides the following testing procedures:
Specialized Urinalysis (Top)
Urinalysis is used to evaluate properties such as acidity, concentration (a measure of how dehydrated an individual may be), and the presence of sugars, blood, or protein in the urine. These properties may indicate irregularities and disturbances in the urinary system. Specialized urinalysis is used to further evaluate chemical imbalances and stressors within the body.

Live Blood Cell Analysis (Top)
Your blood carries the life force of your body and it is the river of life pulsing nutrients to the cells and carrying away waste products to be dealt with by the liver and eliminated. Live blood cell analysis is carried out by placing a drop of blood from the client's fingertip on a microscope slide under a glass cover slip to keep it from drying out. The slide is then viewed at high magnification with a dark-field microscope that forwards the image to television monitor. Both practitioner and client can then see the blood cells, which appear as dark bodies outlined in white. The results are then used as a basis for prescribing supplements. Most of its users are chiropractors, naturopaths, and nutrition consultants.

VEGA Testing / Food Sensitivity Testing (Top)
EAV is a non-invasive energetic evaluation of a patient using a galvanometer. It has been used in Europe for many years to determine the energy imbalances of the body. The original German Electro-Acupuncture technique was started in 1953 by Dr. Reinhold Voll. This complex, time-consuming procedure involves measuring hundreds of acupuncture points. In diagnosis with electro-acupuncture, a slight potential different (voltage) is produced between a tip electrode held against an acupuncture point and a large surface electrode (hand electrode) held by the patient. The resultant resistance is then measured. The EAV test technique is founded on the theory of acupuncture. EAV has shown that acupuncture points bear a direct relationship to a specific anatomical structure or physiological function of the body.

You are aware of the fact that many diseases - in particular allergic and chronic diseases - cannot be easily cured and in many instances only rarely with conventional medical methods. BioResonance Therapy (BRT) is a painless, quick method of treatment offering the possibility of specifically treating all kinds of diseases successfully. BRT allows us to treat chronic conditions and allergies at a cellular level. One in seventy doctors in Germany uses the therapy.

Metabolic Typing (Top)
Many people feel that eating a vegetarian diet is ideal for everyone, and will benefit all of mankind. This is simply not true! The saying 'One man's meat is another man's poison' is absolutely correct.

We cannot all eat the same foods - it really depends on our 'metabolic type', which is based upon the research of William Wolcott.

Autonomic Response Testing (Top)
The autonomic nervous system (ANS) is the part of the nervous system that we cannot control with our mind. The ANS regulates breathing, heart rate, digestion, immune function, sleep patterns, hormone regulation, blood pressure, blood sugar levels, tissue regeneration, and liver and kidney detoxification. Even though autonomic nervous system is the chief regulator of most functions of the body, the electrocardiogram is a common test to measure how the ANS is working. The electrocardiogram measures the rate and rhythm of the heart.

Hair Analysis (Top)
A laboratory technique used to assess mineral imbalances and heavy metal toxicities within the body. Toxic levels of heavy metals such as cadmimum, aluminum, lead and mercury have been shown to result in a number of disease related conditions. Lowered levels of minerals may indicate inadequate nutrition or absorption of these nutrients and may be a causative factor in diseases such as cardiovascular disease, anemia, blood sugar imbalances, osteroporosis, and insulin sensitivity.
